Ginkgo’s Internal Audit and Compliance Department was formally established in Q4’22. We are looking for talented, dynamic, multi-faceted and dedicated individuals to help build a best-in-class Internal Audit and Compliance Department that is both a trusted advisor to the business but also an objective and independent source of truth for leadership.
The Senior Manager, Internal Audit & Compliance is a highly visible individual contributor role, reporting directly to the Head of Internal Audit & Compliance. The Internal Audit and Compliance team is responsible for: executing Ginkgo’s internal audit process associated with internal controls over financial reporting (aka SOX 404),developing and executing a risk-based audit plan, ownership of the Company’s Foreign Corrupt Practices Act compliance program and design, advising business leaders on internal control considerations with respect to new initiatives, supporting Ginkgo’s integrated audit as conducted by its external auditors (EY), and design and execution of various internal audit projects for Ginkgo’s cross-functional operations.
In this role, you will have frequent audience with the Chief Accounting Officer, Legal, the Chief Information Security Officer and other business leaders. While you will also maintain oversight of external subject matter experts in the areas of controls and compliance, this may change as Ginkgo increasingly insources expertise, reducing external reliance for best-in-class activities. Total compensation for this role is market driven, with a starting salary of $125k +, as well as company stock awards. Base pay is ultimately determined based on a candidate's skills, expertise, and experience.
